Federico Mazzarisi (1994) is a film director, screenwriter, and creative producer whose work blends storytelling with visual artistry. Born with a passion for capturing life’s complexities, Federico began his creative journey by earning a degree in Film Design from IED Milan before refining his craft at the prestigious National Film and Television School (NFTS) in London. There, he emerged as a distinctive voice, establishing himself as a standout in the industry and launching his career in commercial and music video directing, collaborating with major brands such as Nike, Puma, BMW, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, On Running, Fiat, Renault, C.P. Company, Diesel, and many more.

Federico’s directorial work has captivated audiences worldwide, earning accolades at top-tier festivals such as Cannes Lions, British Arrows, Berlin Commercial, Ciclope, Young Guns, and OnePointFour. His fiction films have left a mark at celebrated venues, including the Clermont-Ferrand Film Market, Aesthetica, and the Rome and Milan Film Festivals, garnering both critical acclaim and global recognition.

In 2020, Federico made his mark with Learning from the Wind, a deeply moving short film produced during the COVID-19 pandemic by Ascent Film and Great Guns. The film won the prestigious Silver Lion Young Director Award at Cannes, affirming his place as a filmmaker to watch. In 2022, his second short, Wreckage, produced by Groenlandia Film, won Best Short Film with Rai Cinema acquisition at the Figari Film Festival and earned him the Best Director Award from Air3, the Italian Directors Association. The film is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Since 2021, Federico has brought his creative vision to production companies such Groenlandia Film and Tapeless Film. He has directed and produced campaigns for major clients and international production companies across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, collaborating with industry leaders such as Publicis and delivering projects for brands like Renault, BMW, and the Ministry of Culture. At the same time, he has expanded into TV and cinema development, showcasing his versatility and forward-thinking approach. His collaborations extend globally, including partnerships with Quriosity Productions in the U.S. and Landia in Latin America.

Currently, Federico is in production on his next directorial short, The Guardian, which has already secured funding from the Fondazione Apulia Film Commission, while scripting his feature film debut, Poker-Boy.
